Is Sri Lanka’s crisis the result of a flawed constitutional system? Or is it the result of poor leadership within that system?

Because even the best constitution will fail under bad governance — and even a flawed constitution can function with responsible leadership. At the end of the day, a constitution is not just a document. It reflects the values of a nation. If Sri Lanka chooses to create a new constitution, it must be inclusive, transparent, and built on public trust — not political advantage.

Rajapaksa Family Rule – A blessing or a curse for Sri Lanka?

Good part
- Ending the 30 yrs of Civil War
- Modernized the Colombo skyline
- Built new expressways, ports and airports

Curse in my prospective
- Taking high-interest "vanity project" loans that led to the 2022 bankruptcy
- Turning the government into a family business, with brothers and sons holding the most powerful positions
- 2021 ban on chemical fertilizers crippled the agricultural sector

Influence of Bollywood and Hollywood on Sri Lankan culture – Good or bad? Should Sri Lanka ban Indian TV channels and movies?

Sri Lankans aren’t just sitting in theaters anymore—we’re taking what we see and turning it into our own voice. We borrow Hollywood’s magic, Bollywood’s heart, and use them to tell stories that are ours. Influence only hurts us if it erases who we are; otherwise, it gives us wings to express our culture in ways we never could before.

Is the caste system truly gone in Sri Lanka, or does it still quietly shape our lives? Even as cities, schools, and laws challenge old hierarchies, echoes of caste linger in villages, politics, and daily life—reminding us of a past we’re still learning to leave behind.

How is social media shaping the lives of Sri Lankan youth—is it helping them grow or quietly harming them? While it connects friends and opens learning opportunities, nearly half of young people face anxiety, depression, and pressure from cyberbullying, body image, and sleepless nights. Is the cost worth the benefit?

Is modern Sri Lankan culture losing its roots, or is it simply changing? While global lifestyles reshape our cities and youth, traditions in family, religion, and daily life still endure. Are we losing our identity, or creating a new, uniquely Sri Lankan blend?
