U.S. diplomat Jayne Howell highlighted that American investment seeks stability, predictable regulations, and transparent procurement. She praised Sri Lanka’s efforts to strengthen its investment climate, noting that U.S. companies bring technology, innovation, and jobs while integrating markets into global supply chains.
Howell cited the Port of Colombo’s expansion as a key example, saying it will boost capacity and reinforce Sri Lanka’s role as a trusted logistics hub in the Indo-Pacific.
