I’m on H-1B but currently stuck in India waiting for visa stamping. My original appointment was supposed to be in January 2026, but it got pushed all the way to September 2026.

Now my employer has announced that my employment will end in May due to cost cuts. I already have a home and everything set up in Chicago, and I have a one-year-old child. Honestly, I’m feeling pretty stuck and overwhelmed—what options do I even have in this situation to stay in the U.S. or get back home safely?
